The 1953 programme consisted of 25 performances by different theatre groups and ran over nine days during the period 29 October to 7 November 1953 at the Frankston Mechanics' Hall. Participating theatre groups included the Nhill Drama Group, the Adult Education Association, the Sale Repertory Group and the Box Hill City Drama Group.
